Last week I wrote a post about a shopping trip to a local consignment store, “Clothes Heaven”. This week I thought I’d show you one of the two dresses I purchased.
I have had a hankering for a shirt-waist dress for just ages. I was considering sewing one myself as I simply couldn’t find anything that looked just right. Even though I find this style of dress very elegant, they can be boring too. This unusual circle print takes what could be an ultra-traditional look and makes it into something sensational.
The day I wore this dress the weather was warm and sunny. My family and I spent the afternoon wandering the promenade in Santa Monica and taking in the beautiful ocean views.
- Dress – La Via 18
- Sunnies – Prada
- Bag – Bagalini
- Shoes -Franco Sarto
Do you have a favorite dress? What’s it like? I want to know! Leave a comment and tell me about it.

What a beautiful scenery & landscape!
I do have three favourite dresses:
1) Offwhite, short, tight lace dress
2) Flowing margenta silk dress with v-neck (knee-long)
3) Egg-shell silk blouse-dress
I`m a sucker for silk, it makes me feel sexy and elegant.

There’s nothing quite like silk. It does feel wonderful against the skin. I don’t have nearly enough of it.
I think I’ve seen your lace dress. Did you wear it in an outfit post once?
Let’s talk about the fact you look like a model in these photos…. or some wildly stylish celeb. Either way, these photos are great!

I love graphic prints and this one is really special, no? Great find–love the sleeves on it too and the double bresting.
The dress gods have been very good to me this year–too many to name!

You noticed! Yes, I’ve changed the layout a bit, trying to streamline everything. I hate clutter in general, and I’m always trying to strip my website down to the essentials and have that sidebar flow in a logical manner. It seems like an eternal project though.
