Time for Fall

Autumn in Los Angeles

It’s now officially fall, my favorite season by far.  The blustery weather, the falling leaves, the tweed and plaid all fill me with delight. Los Angeles will have none of that though.  The closest we get to blustery is the morning fog.  Some leaves change color and fall, but most of the plants stay green the whole year round.  It does cool off a bit in November, but not enough to really wear tweed and plaid and wool to abandon. Oddly, it does get rather cold in the spring, when I’m supposed to be running around in flimsy pastel dresses, but that’s another story.

What Time is It?

I purchased this whimsical skirt at Anthropologie on sale last year.  Isn’t it fun?  Every time I wear it someone asks me what time it is. Clueless, I look at my watch and tell them the time.  (Sometimes I’m really a dork.) It looks best worn with a simple black T-shirt and purse so that nothing really competes with the skirt. The other accessories either play up the circular shapes of the clocks or compliment the beige and black color way.

  • Hat – Purchased at The Farmer’s Market here in Los Angeles
  • Necklace – Belonged to my great-grandmother
  • Purse – Bagalini
  • T-shirt – Target Mossimo
  • Belt – Target
  • Skirt – Anthropologie
  • Shoes – Nine West

What’s your favorite season?

I love your skirt! The hat with it is adorable! I love when ladies wear hats! The necklace is really special coming from your great-grandmother. Nicely done! I love fall fashion but summer weather!!

I don’t have a “favorite” season… (although I freeze in the winter!). But I am particularly fond of fall clothing… although I have been having trouble finding pieces this year (I think I am just being picky!)

What a cute skirt! I’d totally dork out and forget I was wearing giant clocks too lol. I love that necklace- it goes perfectly with the circles on the skirt.

I love shopping the sale area in Anthropologie. Cute clothes there, but I think if I lived in New York I’d be shopping all the fab independent stores not a mall shop like Anthro.
