On the roof at dusk in a black beaded evening dress and dark red lipstick.
A big “Thank You” to my dear friend Ariane for the beautiful dress. I hemmed the slip to show off the sheer, beaded skirt and wore it with open toe stilettos purchased years ago on a whim. They are the most wonderfully impractical shoes.

Have you been on the roof of your house or apartment recently? I find it rather surreal.

I think it’s pretty darn artsy too, but it wasn’t my idea. Hugo was up and down the ladder a dozen times getting all the lights up there. It was fun! Makes me wish I had a rooftop patio.

You look great–are these photos done by a professional?

My husband took the photos. He’s getting almost professional I must say. He’s really into it. I’m a lucky girl.

This is by far the most stunning shot ever, not just because of how beautiful you look in that gorgeous to-die-for dress, but the components that make this shot… LOVE this!

p.s I love how creative your friends are – those Barbie outfits were amazing!
I like the juxtaposition between sparkly long dress and air con ducts myself.
WOW amazing pictures Heather, you look stunning, but I just cant get over the beauty of these images, the light, the background, seriously good stuff. I’m really impressed
I’m also glad to see the goth trend here, as I’m strangely attracted to it when i see some of the dresses in Zara, they have gone down this road quite a lot this past season.

I’m not normally a goth girl at all, but I really do appreciate the look on others and I would like to bring some of it into my own look.

WEE-OOOWWW!! Such a sexy, vampish look. I love that you hemmed the dress up to show of the sheer, beaded skirt. Stunning! The red lipstick was the perfect addition. XO

I know my husband puts the photos through photoshop and he uses two sets of flashes, but the light was rather like that as the sun was setting. The flashes are just to illuminate me. The rest is natural light.

I love this photoshoot…the background (sunset+tree) compliments the dress so much!

BABY BABY BABY!
Sorry if I repeat myself but I have to say: Heather, you Supermodel!
1. I LOVE the dress. The chiffon ruffles are wonderful
2. You totally pull it off!
3. I absolutly love the scenery! The short time right after sundown, when the sky still has pale light but all silhouettes already look black is my absolute fave time of the day.
Love, Jen
