The late summer heat wave that hit Los Angeles in early August is continuing into its third week. Even at night it’s too hot for any kind of jacket or sweater. Jeans are out, shorts are in and the best jewelry is a dangly earring that barely touches your skin. I’ve worn some version of this simple outfit almost every day this week.

This is a good luck with the hot summer days. In the bay area, I live where it actually feels like summer, but I still pack a jacket because the city is freezing.

I always feel so challenged when it comes to summer and figuring out what to wear on those sweltering days…. I think embracing it and keeping it simple is definitely the way to go…

I’m the same Alexis, when it’s sweltering, I never know what to wear. I just want to walk around the apartment in my boxers all day ha ha.
It is difficult but I thought you’ve gone well here. I like how you’ve accessorised more with your lipstick and nail polish, easy and it won’t make you hotter.

Hi Arash. So glad you like the new layout. I got bored with the old, plus got some negative feedback. I like the change though. It’s refreshing. As for dressing for the heat, like you I kind of wear, almost, just underwear when I’m at home. Thankfully it’s cooled down somewhat recently.

I was trying to find chartreuse nail polish, but the closest I could find was apple green. It was fun! I think it might be best for toes though. I got a lot of raised eyebrows with that color on my nails.
