Ah swag, those delightful little bags of free stuff so loved by bloggers were given away at the Lucky & Aloxxi party the night before Lucky FABB. The party was held at Stylehaüs at The Grove and of course it wasn’t all about swag. There was bubbly too! Hairstylists were on hand to give the attendees fun up-dos and sleek blow-outs. That was all really nice, but what I really enjoyed was the people watching. Although I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of stylish women at the conference the next day, the night before was much more intimate. My camera hadn’t run out of battery either so I have some great photos to share.
Shoes and Purses
The shoes were as varied as the outfits. There were lace up heels, printed heels, and suede boots. I loved these metal-tipped ankle straps too.
I love the sleeve detail on this pretty girl’s black dress. It make me think of fashion armor.
I met Anne Bray of Spy Girl at the event. We both had Angel do our hair. He gave me a fun up do and spiked Anne’s hair.
They had run out of swag by the time I left the party so I’m not sure what was in the bags. However I think it might have been some of the Aloxxi line of hair products. I spoke with a lovely woman at the party who told me a little about the Aloxxi goal. The idea is to help educate women about the hair color that is used at salons. One woman’s honey blond is another woman’s golden blond, so they want to create a line of colors that will help streamline the industry and give women more authority in choosing the colors they love on their hair.
Update April 17th: Yesterday I received a package full of Aloxxi’s styling products to try. How exciting! I’ll be sure to let you know how they work.
Many thanks to Aloxxi and Lucky for inviting me to this fun event.
