Is Environ the Best Skin Care Line Ever?

Environ C-Quence Creme

I think I found the perfect moisturizer. For years I have searched for a facial lotion that is moisturizing without being greasy, lightweight without being insubstantial, that included vitamins and antioxidants but that didn’t include any perfumes, that could be worn alone or under makeup, and most importantly made my skin look it’s best.  I found it in Environ’s line of skin care products.

If the name Environ sounds familiar it might be because I wrote about the line a few months ago in the post “Environ Skin Care: A Mini Review”.  I reviewed a lightweight moisturizing serum and a delicate, scented hand lotion. I liked both products, but pined to try a few more. My wish was granted and I received the C-Quence Creme to try. A few weeks ago I also received two more products from Environ’s AVST and Intensive collections. I’d like you  to know that although I didn’t pay for any of these products I think they’re fabulous, otherwise I wouldn’t write about them. Continue Reading →

Environ Skin Care: A Mini Review

Environ Skin Care Review: Ionzyme Focus Hydrating Serum

A couple of months ago I was asked to review a beauty product line I had never heard of before, Environ Skin Care. The reason for my ignorance became apparent once it arrived in the mail; Environ is only sold through a dermatologist’s office. It’s also rather expensive. Because of the price tag and exclusivity of the line my expectations were higher than usual. I mean, this stuff must be really great, right? I was intrigued. Continue Reading →

Bio-Oil (another great beauty product from the drugstore!)

Bio-Oil review - The Style ConfessionsBio-Oil is another wonderful beauty product sent to me by the same people who gave me the Elizabeth Arden products I raved about in this post. I like the Bio-Oil just as much but for different reasons. For one, this softly scented oil is affordable and available at my local drug store.  I love the way it smells and the way it makes my skin feel soft and moisturized for hours. Continue Reading →

Rediscovering Elizabeth Arden

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsules - The Style ConfessionsUntil now I have never tried an Elizabeth Arden beauty product. It always seemed like an “older lady” line of cosmetics and serums, the sort of thing one of my wealthier friends’ mothers would use. Now that I have a preteen daughter it seems that I’ve become someone’s mother, though not the wealthy sort unfortunately. Perhaps that’s why I find the luxe gold packaging so appealing now. Of course, if the serums in the elegant gold and red boxes didn’t work I wouldn’t find much use for them, but this is a case of being able to tell the book by the cover. What’s inside is just as elegant and luxe as the packaging would suggest.  Continue Reading →

How to keep your pedicure looking fabulous for weeks

A pedicure and painted toe nails are essential for pretty feet. Here in Los Angeles I wear sandals pretty much year round, so keeping my feet in good condition is a necessity. Sadly, I can barely paint nails on my hands, and doing a pedicure by myself is pretty much mission impossible. I’ve tried and I’ve failed, so off to the salon I go. I love having my nails and toes done professionally, but I have neither the money nor the time for a weekly pedicure. I like to keep my feet looking as lovely as possible for as long as possible between monthly visits to the salon and I’ve learned that by using the right products my freshly painted and scrubbed feet can stay pretty for many weeks. Here are my favorite beauty products for the feet.

Disclosure: I purchased all of these products with my own money and was not compensated for the post by the brands I recommend, however there are affiliate links embedded in some of the links. If you click on them I will receive a small commission. Thank you for your support!
