I love wearing denim at night. Oh, I wear it during the day as well, but there’s something very cool about denim in the evening.
I wore this the other evening to walk to dinner at a local restaurant. Casual, yes, but I felt pretty groovy.
How do you wear YOUR denim at night?
My mother loves over-sized long sleeve shirts and seems to feel that I need some in my wardrobe as well. As a result quite a few have come my way over the years. Being the tailored show-off-the-waist sort of girl that I am, I usually scratch my head and wonder “how the heck am I going to wear this?” I like this denim shirt because it’s denim and I love denim, but also because it’s really long. I still have a hard time figuring out what to do with it though. Then I found, fell in love with, and purchased this belt. (Bad, bad, bad Heather! It cost too much!)
It has a very equestrian feel to it doesn’t it?
I thought perhaps belting the shirt, wearing it over jeans and boots might look nice. So I tried it. This is how it looked.
It was a chilly spring day. The sort that makes me want to pull all my fall coats out of the back of the closet. I told myself to stop being a classic L.A. cold weather wimp and added a denim blue paisley scarf around my neck instead. (I also wore the scarf here.) My favorite grey boots from last Fall were pulled out of hiding however.
These were another naughty purchase, but I thought the red zippers were brilliant.
